Designing information products

Sleep has been a topic of research for many decades, if not centuries. Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, both physical as mental. In the long term, chronic sleep deprivation may lead to a host of health problems including obesity, diabetes, and in the worst case, mortality. However, the road of getting diagnosed and treated right is a long one.

Therefore, my colleagues and I set out to create an unobtrusive device of measuring a user’s sleep environment and serve as a part of a bigger solution of improving people’s sleep health. Additionally, in collaboration with Phillips design we have looked at different ways to visualize a dataset, as well as our own data with Vega Lite.
